Health & Human Services

The Health Authority (OHA) was created to transform the state’s health care system and is dedicated to better care, better health, and lower health care costs for all Oregonians. OHA was created in 2009.

The Department of Human Services (DHS) helps Oregonians in their own communities achieve well-being and independence through services that protect, empower, respect choice, and preserve dignity. DHS was created in 1993.
