DOGAMI has been contracted to perform detailed coastal flood hazard studies for several stretches of beach along the Tillamook County shoreline of the Pacific Ocean. These analyses are to include assessments of the 1% annual probability, or 100-year, extreme storm wave event and the associated calculated wave setup, runup, and total water to help guide the determination of Special Flood Hazard Areas. Additional modeling of the 0.2%, or 500-year, event will also be undertaken.
