The present study is designed to quantify the impact of a truck-mounted radar speed sign (RSS) on vehicle speeds in maintenance work zones and identify best practices for their use as part of mobile maintenance work operations. The overall goal of this investigation is to assist ODOT Maintenance in evaluating the benefits and limitations of using a truck-mounted radar speed sign during mobile operations.
