Lighthouse at Newport

Lighthouse at Newport used as a lifeguard station, ca. 1939. Built in 1871 but only operated until 1874. When Yaquina Head Lighthouse was commissioned in 1873, it became the primary lighthouse on the Oregon Coast. On National Register of Historic Places, listed in 1974.
