Cougar fireplace in Timberline Lodge

This stone fireplace is in the Cascade Dining Room and has a warming oven on the right side of the firebox. There is a large carving of a mountain lion in a crouching position as the main art work on the mantel. This carving, "Cougar, resting in forest," was carved by Florence Thomas.
