Ritner Creek Covered Bridge

Covered bridge at Ritner Creek. Ritner Creek Bridge was built in 1927 by Hamer and Curry Contractors and cost $6964. The original portal design was rounded at the edges but was changed to a square design in the 1960s to accomodate larger loads. It was the last covered bridge built on an Oregon state highway. In 1976 the bridge was lifted from its foundation, located downstream from its original site, and replaced with a concrete bridge., Courtesy of Oregon State Library
