Elk City covered bridge

The Elk City Bridge spanned the Yaquina River at Elk City, in Lincoln County, Oregon. The bridge was a 100-foot Howe truss span built in 1922 at a cost of $3,200. It had a low vertical clearance of just 10 feet, six inches. It is no longer standing, as strong winds blew it into the river during rehabilitation efforts in 1981.
