This covered railroad bridge on the Oregon Pacific rail line resided in Marion County near Detroit, Oregon, over the Breitenbush River. The bridge number assigned by the railroad was #744-21. This type of bridge did not have a standard roof. Instead, each of the two trusses was enclosed. Note the upper bracing which was blackened from the smoke of passing steam trains. Most of the tracks of the railroad were covered by the water of Detroit Lake after the dam was completed., Courtesy of State Library of Oregon.
