Fox covered bridge

Fox covered bridge spanning the North Coquille River near Norway, Coos County, Oregon. Supported by a Smith truss, the bridge was built in 1883 by J.D. Bennett, a local carpenter, who built several other covered bridges in the county. The old bridge was a victim of a fire in the early 1950s, which also burned the tiny Lee Valley church. Remains of the bridge were dismantled in 1954 and a modern concrete bridge spans the stream., Courtesy of State Library of Oregon.
