For the 120 cities that responded, the survey found a need for $7.6 billion in total water and wastewater infrastructure funding over the next twenty years. In 2020, the League contracted with the Center for Public Service to update the 2016 survey, and to include an analysis of needs in wastewater and stormwater systems in addition to drinking water systems.
