Blind, Commission for the

For more than 75 years, the Commission for the Blind has been an important resource for Oregonians who are blind or visually impaired, as well as for their families, friends and employers. Our mission is to assist Oregonians who are blind or visually impaired in making informed choices and decisions to achieve full inclusion and integration in society through employment, independent living and social self-sufficiency. The commission employs just under 50 people and is headquartered in Portland, with regional offices in Salem, Eugene, Medford and Bend. These offices provide coverage throughout Oregon under the guidance of our governor-appointed, seven-member Board of Commissioners.
